Privacy Policy
100² Romance is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated server.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your learning preferences, enabled cards, scratchpad, personal sentences, optional progress and spaced-repetition state in its private app container. If you import a compatible GGUF model, the model and its local record are also copied into that container. This information is used only to provide the features you choose.
Speaking Practice
When you tap Start, the app asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission and passes the live audio to Apple’s Speech framework to produce a transcript. Depending on your device, language, and system settings, Apple may process speech on the device or through Apple’s speech service. 100² Romance does not send the audio or transcript to a developer-operated server and does not save the practice transcript after the practice screen is discarded.
On-device model suggestions
The optional Local LLM feature works only with a model you explicitly choose from Files. Suggestions are generated on your device with an embedded llama.cpp runtime. The app does not download a model or transmit your text to an AI service.
Third parties and tracking
The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. Apple’s system speech and text-to-speech services are governed by your device settings and Apple’s privacy terms.
Retention, deletion, and permission choices
Local data remains until you delete it with the controls available in the app or remove the app from your device. Imported models can be removed in Settings → Local LLM. Scratchpad and personal sentence entries have their own deletion controls. Removing the app deletes its remaining local container. You can revoke microphone or speech-recognition permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Changes and contact
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the affected version is released. For privacy questions, use the support page.
